Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Racoon iOS application and this website.

Last updated: 3 November 2026 · Quantic Technologies

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Racoon (“the App”), or by browsing this website, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App or site.

The App is provided by Quantic Technologies (“we”, “us”). Contact: [email protected].

2. The service

Racoon is a quiet launcher for iPhone that encourages intentional unlocking. It is not a system home-screen replacement — iOS does not permit third-party apps to replace SpringBoard. Features may change over time as we improve the product.

3. Eligibility

You must be able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction and comply with Apple’s App Store terms. The App is not directed at children under 13.

4. License

Subject to these Terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) where applicable, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Racoon on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Rules.

You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or misuse the App except as allowed by law.

5. Free features and Racoon Pro

Core launcher features are available without charge. Racoon Pro unlocks additional features (including app blocking, camera, scratchpad, login codes, and related Pro options) via auto-renewable subscription through Apple In-App Purchase.

6. Screen Time / app blocking

Racoon Lock uses Apple’s Screen Time / Family Controls APIs to shield apps you choose. You are responsible for the apps you select and for how blocking affects your device. We do not guarantee uninterrupted shielding in all background conditions; system permissions and iOS behavior apply.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Racoon or this site to violate law, infringe others’ rights, interfere with Apple services, or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data. Login-code (TOTP) features are for accounts you are authorized to secure.

8. Privacy

Our practices are described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of how we operate the App. Please read it.

9. Intellectual property

Racoon, the Racoon name and logo, and related branding are owned by Quantic Technologies or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks except as needed to identify the App in ordinary use.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will replace any system capability Apple reserves for itself.

Racoon is a productivity / lifestyle tool. It is not medical advice, therapy, or a guaranteed treatment for addiction or any health condition.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUANTIC TECHNOLOGIES AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP OR SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR RACOON PRO IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quantic Technologies from claims arising out of your misuse of the App, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable law — except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

13. Apple-specific terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Quantic Technologies, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support. In the event of a failure to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any) as permitted by Apple; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you regarding the App.

14. Website

This marketing site may contain links to third parties (including the App Store). We are not responsible for third-party content or practices.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes affecting paid subscribers, we will provide notice where reasonably practical (for example in-app or via the App Store listing).

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence provide otherwise. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to those mandatory rights.
